Derek and Melissa Trash the Dress

Derek and Melissa returned from their fabulous honeymoon in California.  They met up with with us yesterday for one more opportunity to wear the dress and do things that you normally wouldn’t do in a wedding dress, like this:

The above images are from the end of of our session, we started out getting some shots on Derek’s motorcycle and a bridge near the location where their ceremony took place

Love this one.

* Passers-by on the bridge were very appreciative of this cute couple…they got plenty of smiles, thumbs-ups and friendly waves. :)

It was worth hiking down below the bridge in tall grass for these shots

We made it to the mountains just as the sun was beginning to set

Derek and Melissa were great!  They braved the very cold weather (we could see our breath by the time we finished our session) and were ready for anything.  I enjoyed being able to spend more time with this fun couple in a relaxed atmosphere and I know Melissa enjoyed wearing her dress one more time, she was just a pretty as she was on the wedding day. :)  I think every couple should consider doing a Trash the Dress session…it’s too much fun not to. :)

Thanks for spending the afternoon with us, anytime you want to put that dress on again give me a call! :)

very nice – love the sun flare you got going on! I am also a little jealous of your gorgeous models.

I like to call things in my life that happen unexpectedly and turn into something wonderful “happy accidents”. I’ve had many happy accidents, meeting my husband, forgetting an ingredient in a recipe and discovering it tasted better without the ingredient, etc... Photography was another “happy accident". A friend needed someone to help shoot auto races, my husband volunteered me and bought me my first Digital SLR camera. Five years have passed since those first nights standing on a wall and trying my best to capture cars traveling 120 mph heading directly at me. It didn’t take me long before I wanted to learn how to operate the camera without guidance. My journey began and still continues. read more
