One of My Many Joys : Mamarazzi

Football-mom, baseball-mom, volleyball-mom, bowling-mom, tennis-mom, basketball-mom and soccer-mom.  I’ve worn all of those hats!  Whew!  Makes me tired just thinking about it!  It’s always a joy for me to watch my kids spread their athletic wings.  This sports season I am doing double duty as a volleyball-mom and soccer-mom.  My little pumpkin is trying soccer.  It is early in the season, they haven’t played in a game yet but they are all anxious to get their foot on the ball even if it means taking it away from their own teammate in a scrimmage game. :)  Uniforms were handed out at the last practice he was very impressed.

what a great way to go through your day, in a blink of an eye and the snap of that lens – it all goes by so fast. These pics are great Maria and it is always good to know Moms are the biggest fans and best people to have in your corner. Keep up the great work!

Cute! Yup, I’m mamarazzing my son to karate and flag football these days. Luckily his sister is not interested in sports this year and is doing the artsy fartsy thing – drawing class. And oh they cringe when I bring my pro gear out to photograph. So, I take my little G5 and video and take snapshots instead. Boy do I long to take the big gear anyway! Maybe one day I’ll make an acception.

I like to call things in my life that happen unexpectedly and turn into something wonderful “happy accidents”. I’ve had many happy accidents, meeting my husband, forgetting an ingredient in a recipe and discovering it tasted better without the ingredient, etc... Photography was another “happy accident". A friend needed someone to help shoot auto races, my husband volunteered me and bought me my first Digital SLR camera. Five years have passed since those first nights standing on a wall and trying my best to capture cars traveling 120 mph heading directly at me. It didn’t take me long before I wanted to learn how to operate the camera without guidance. My journey began and still continues. read more
