The day began with hair and makeup, I loved the look on Cara’s young relative’s face as she watched Cara check her hair

Cara and Luis decided to have a First Look.  I love, love, love it when the Bride and Groom have a First Look!  It’s not only a wonderful opportunity for the Bride and Groom to connect it’s also perfect for making images.

Here is Luis, looking handsome, waiting for Cara to arrive

Notice in the first image in the next set the thumbs up he is getting from his friends?  They saw Cara approaching…then notice the look on Luis’ face.  I think he was REALLY PLEASED!

These pictures make me smile and honestly make me a little teary-eyed, I love the look of awe on Luis’ face and the look of joy on Cara’s.

More formals can be seen in the Pt. 1 post here

Before I share images from the ceremony check out Cara’s bouquet.  Her friend, Bonnie, from Colorado arranged all of the flowers.  I was shocked that Bonnie is not a florist, the bouquet and corsages were amazing.  Bonnie if you read this…I don’t know what your profession is but I think you need to be a florist!  :)

Cara was emotional when her friends, family and bridal party gathered around to pray for her and Luis.

Cara’s dad who is also the Pastor gave her away.   You may recognize the Associate Pastor, Philip, he was married in Dec. 08 and shared the officiating duties with Cara’s father.

For his part Cara’s father delivered a beautiful message peppered with humor and words that only a dad can give when blessing the union of one of his children.

Cara and Luis are about to embark on a wonderful adventure together.  If you read the post about their Engagement Session you know that Luis is a professional soccer player in Germany, since their engagement he was invited to play on the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team.  They are both caring, loving and generous people who will bless each other and continue to bless the people around them.  Just to give you and idea of how “giving” these two are the day after their wedding Luis was donating time to a local youth soccer camp.

Thank you for the honor of documenting your day Cara and Luis!  Wishing you every happiness and blessing in your new life together.  {HUGS}

Deb Gunsch - These pictures are amazing Maria. I think my favorite is the kiss. Almost took my breath away. However, I don’t know whether I like the formals or the fun shots better. The formals are amazing, but the fun ones just show so much emotion. Thanks for sneaking Kim into a few pictures.

Jean Ann Swan (Cara's grandmother) - Maria, Cara and Luis were blessed to have you as their photographer. You have captured the beauty and joy of the day - along with the humor and reverence of the occasion. I wish you had been around when my daughters, Kim and Julie were getting married. I can hardly wait to see the remaining shots.
