On day two of my San Francisco adventure while Robert was at the racetrack I went to China Town. I was armed with my San Francisco travel guide and Google maps on the Blackberry to get me there. I was ready to venture out in the San Fran traffic but even with all the help I had major navigation issues. I discovered that parking is not plentiful in San Francisco but once I located a parking garage nearby I was very happy to FINALLY walk into China Town.
Here is the gate at the Southern entrance and one of its “guardians”
I loved the street lights
I’m always happy to shoot a pretty dress or two :)
I found some spots with interesting art on the walls
All of the streets were very colorful
One of the highlights of China Town for me was visiting The Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory and seeing fortune cookies being baked and assembled.
A few more pics…
The kitties are supposed to bring wealth
Next up, Pt. 3, Fisherman’s Wharf. Also looking forward to Robert sharing his pics from the racing action soon. He got some GREAT pics!
